Making a breakthrough using the internet as an artist 5 years ago, you either had the method: creating for the purpose of "going viral" and creating unprecedented hype at record speed; or you had whats always been the ideal: creating for the sole purpose of the advancement of the integrity of music itself, using the internet as a vehicle.With soundcloud and bandcamp, seemingly unbiased databases for music that welcome and encourage independence in music... merging the two, the method and the ideal is not only possible, but its become the "cool" thing again!
the passion is there: to create and/or to seek the most beautiful piece, the craziest piece, the saddest piece, the ratchetest piece of music on the internet that connects with you, and share it with a huge and ever growing network of listeners and artists all over the world youve helped create.
You can create a sound for yourself! And if you're not artistically inclined, but you aren't satisfied with what the mainstream has you hear, I implore you to not rest till you find that sound! Please!
