Mr. Carmack: “Like The Beaver…”
Like the beaver, we are a force of nature.
Sure, we are a bit more sophisticated than a hive of ants, but we invented the term and the concept of terms and the idea of concepts themselves, so it's only fair.
The pointed question, in my mind, is whether or not we are building a better house, or breaking down the best one we'll ever have.
The troubling thing is, for all of our cleverness, we still behave like any other manifestation of life. We are currently in the process of consuming any and all resources to reproduce ourselves as rapidly as possible. We are, for all intents and purposes, as rational as a colony of slime mold.
Think about it.... tool usage to agriculture to burning oil... these are all exploitations to increase available calories. Calories which, by and large, support breeding populations.
If we ignore what makes us unique, and instead focus on what makes us animal, we're not much different than a nest of ants.
It's just that our skill set is much larger, and the entire planet is our hive.

Mr. Carmack's Control Tour In April (Canada & US)
By Alex Leonard. Brace Yourself For A Trap Treat From Honolulu’s Finest Beat Producer. Mr. Carmack is a character not known to go on tour, so it’s very exciting to see his future plans of a tour throughout North America. He recently uploaded a small video on Instagram yesterday with 11 Upcoming Tour Dates listed throughout several major cities. Mr. Carmack will be performing at The Hoxton in Toronto on April 2nd to start his Control Tour off.
He’ll also be playing Friday April 3rd in Montreal at Newspeak. Newspeak is a brand new venue in Montreal that is created by the promotional brand SJU. Mr. Carmack’s last performance in Montreal was at Ilesoniq where he performed at the Neon stage in the middle of the day.
Before that he played a stellar set Montreal’s own Jacques Greene and Djemba Djemba on April 20th last year. His skills are well known behind decks and he described on Instagram that this upcoming Control Tour will be at more underground and smaller venues. You can expect a set of new secrets and more filthier beats from Carmack.

Mr. Carmack To Perform At Shambhala Festival In Canada (5th - 10th August)
By Jake Dubconscious. We are very pleased to introduce Shambhala 2015’s second headliner sneak peek: the Los Angeles-based, Soulection and Team Supreme affiliated beatsmith Mr. Carmack. Aaron Carmack grew up in a musical family, was classically trained, and since the age of 13 he’s been crafting beats, slowly but surely growing into his current role as an international tastemaker. His tracks have seen release on labels like Mad Decent and Soulection, aside from the multitude of self-released music he’s dropped via his bandcamp page.
He’s recently completed tours of Australia/New Zealand, Eastern Europe, and Dubai/South Africa, and over the past couple years he has appeared at major festivals such as Coachella, EDC Las Vegas and Hard Summer, as well as at the prestigious Low End Theory weekly in Los Angeles. We couldn’t be happier to see Shambhala added to his impressive resumé this August – the only question that remains is which stage will he perform on?
